WASHINGTON, Aug. 21 (Reuters)—The United States said today that its continuing relations with Bangladesh constituted diplomatic recognition of the new Government.
“Continuing contacts which we have had with the new Government there constitute recognition — of that Government without the necessity for any ‘other specific act of recognition on our part,” the deputy spokesman of the State Department, Robert L. Funseth, said.
