Background: Government offices remained closed on Monday as employees continued their protest at the Government's decision to postpone the meeting of the National Assembly until March 25. The boycott, called by East Pakistan leader Sheikh Mujib Rahman, left only electricity and water supplies and communications left only electricity and water supplies and communications unaffected. It was the 8th day of the strike which has been growing worse each day.
