Rawalpindi, July 9.—Dr Henry Kissinger, the White House foreign affairs adviser, left here today for Natiagali in the mountains, amid rumours that he had cut short his talks with President Yahya Khan of Pakistan.
Mr Nixon’s special emissary met the President yesterday, and was due to continue the talks today, as well as to meet General Abdul Hamid Khan, Chief of the General Staff and a deputy martial law administrator.
Yesterday’s talks were on the most important aspects of relations between the two countries, particularly American military aid, according to unconfirmed reports.
An official dinner which President Yahya was to have given here tonight in Dr Kissinger’s honour was cancelled. It was stated that Dr Kissinger was indisposed.—Agence France Presse.
