Dacca, Oct 14—A former Governor of East Pakistan, Mr Abdul Monem Khan, was shot in the stomach at his home here and died in hospital, hospital sources reported early today.
Mr Khan, a 69-year-old lawyer and politician, was Governor of East Pakistan between 1962 and 1969.
It is understood that two men called on Mr Khan at his house late last night. For a while they talked, then one drew a revolver and shot Mr Khan.—Reuter.
