Geneva, Oct 14—Prevention of famine in East Pakistan during the next four months hinges on whether food shipped to the ports can be distributed effectively, Mr Paul-Marc Henri, head of the United Nations relief operation said here today.
He indicated that distribution in zones near the Indian frontier was being jeopardized by the effects of guerrilla activities. “Harassment in the border areas is very critical”, he said. Guerrilla frogmen were also a threat to ships in ports.
